Vampire Hunter D

D is a "Dampil", that`s the son of the Vampire King and human woman. He lives in a far-future, post-nuclear one, where lives vampires, magical creatures, ancient demons, and humans.

What explain this order, is what happened before, on the time of the nuclear disaster. Was a very technological time, Humans and vampires created creatures wich helped sometimes, and others they attacked humans or vampires, to get the power. On this fight to get the power, vampires were the culprits about nuclear disaster, because they wanted to distroy all the humans and creatures to get control of the planet. But that didn`t happen, humans survived, and some magical creatures too, and the scale helped the humans, because finally Vampires were more afeccted by the disaster.

But you know, on this technological times, Vampires could get blood to feed themselves in a technological way, but they still loved human blood, so the order, the peace that was reached, always break down because of the humans killed or kidnapped by vampires.

Here is when D appears, because He fight Vampires because he hate them, because his mother was kidnapped by a Vampire, and she finally falled in love, and he is son of this Human/Vampire mixture. He hate himself, because He feel that he can`t fixed in any place, in any group, he feel absoluty lonely, and it`s the reason to fight against attempts of vampires' kidnapping. You can find that the reason because he is a vampire hunter, it`s because of the guilt. He feel so part of the vampires, because he looks like them, he has their speed and physical strong, and he can`t tolerate solar beams in some particular days, and he has been discriminated because he looks like a vampire. He dooesn`t wanna be part of their agressive behavior, he accepts to be alone, but he doesn`t want to be part of any side.

Well, I always shoose fighters, or protestant, or lonely guys because I love them, and make me feel identified. And well, this Superheroe is that kind of guy, it`s no a superman or somenthins, It`s a strong guy who tries to live in a simply way, on hard times. This superheore is on Films, mangas. Theres 3 films, and 21 novels mangas, and it`s great, I hope you like it!

Foucault and Dissent

Maybe It can looks like a cliché, but I`m powerful attracted by protestant intellectual protestants. I don`t know, maybe because all my life I didn`t feel in my place, so in some moment I just stay apart. When I took that way, I finally feel on my place, and I find some guys like Michel Foucault. He was a French philosopher, a social theorist, who worked almost all the time with underprivileged persons.

His theory about Power and its effects, it was a revolution in any field from social science. I`ve been in particulary interested on his psychiatry critique, wich cans be moved to psycology in many ways.

Foucault`s biography cans explain why He worked the power topics, his nature and his camouflaged expressions. Like a sexual and political dissident, He felt the obligation to contribute, and He did it in theoretical and practices. Why practices? Because He was an activist, taking part in famous protests, like may 68´protests.

For Phychologists, there´s two important books to be readen. One of them is History of Madness, wich is amazing in a erudite form. And the other one is The Psychiatric Power, wich is about mechanisms of power on history of psychiatry.

Why this blog

I`m just a psicology student, who never forgot about his real passion. Everyone have felt the need to write sometimes. It`s difficult to explain why literary passion come to us, and it persuades us to write. For me it`s not big deal, I just love writing and trying to do some prose poetry.

So, for some people is about sadness, for others it`s about an intelectual shine. Me? I can`t reduce writing to anything in particular; for me, it`s always and explosive feeling. By the way, on my future career, I won`t have many chances to write.

Well, you can already see my objective for this blog: I just wanna unload some ideas and feelings.

Maybe, if you ask me, what else do you like to do? Well, I can say music too, but it depends of song`s lyrics too.

These are important things for me. Couples, family, and all that stuff can`t say so much about me. What I like to do, it`s really more important. Welcome!

You Don´t Know Jack

Every time I see a movie, one of the most inevitable factors to determine if is it good or not, is how identified I am with something on the movie. On "You Don´t Know Jack", everything makes seems familiar.
The subject matter, the enviroment, and specially, Jack and his cause.

Jack Kevorkian was an Armenian-American pathologist, best known as "Doctor Death", because in the nineties, he assisted at least 130 patients to die. Jack always defended the self-determination idea, weather the patient was suffering a terminal disease or not.

Well, this movie tries to re-live the period when Jack practised "assisted suicide", and defends legally what he called a "medical cause" or "medical service", to with he felt absolutely committed. So commited that he practised direct euthanasia, trying to involve the country on his consequent judgment, and with no legal representation.

All the movie is focuses on Kevorkian, who is -by the way- personified by Al Pacino, who is one of my favorite actors. Pacino allows you to follow the story and understand Kevorkian´s personality.

On the movie you can understand Jack´s private reasons to be an intense protestant. On his youth, Kevorkian´s mother suffered a terrible disease, wich made him feel useless. It was watching that agony, that suffering, made him think about euthanasia.

Maybe, if you are an action-movie guy, this reflexive movie will never captivate your attention in the first place, but if you calm down, you´ll find a nice topic to think.
